​​Vanessa Richardson is the sideline reporter for the Houston Rockets on Space City Home Network, Houston’s regional network.  She also covers the NBA for ESPN in television, radio, and digital roles.

Prior to the Rockets, Vanessa served as a pregame and postgame host and fill-in reporter for the Houston Astros, hosted a sports talk radio show for the ESPN radio affiliate in Houston, and spent two years as a sports anchor/reporter for the NBC affiliate. She also appeared on national NBC broadcasts covering auto racing.

She has covered the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Kentucky Derby, MLB All Star weekend, the NFL Combine, and the Indy 500 for various media outlets. ​
