A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Vanessa's love for sports started early. She tagged along with her dad to watch games, and Colts Training Camp was in her backyard for ten years.

Vanessa started covering sports as a freshman in college for WICR-FM, an Indianapolis radio station. Her experience grew from there; she spent two seasons as an In-Arena host for the Indiana Pacers, an on-field host for the Indianapolis Indians (Pittsburgh Pirates AAA team,) sideline reported for different networks, and was the web host/sports correspondent for the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show.

From Indy, she made the drive to Cincinnati and spent two years as a reporter for the NBC affiliate. Her focus was feature stories and live sports coverage. While in Cincinnati, she was a freelance sideline reporter for the Big East, OHSAA, and Xavier basketball. She also served as a pit reporter on the video boards at the Kentucky Speedway for NASCAR.

She's now in Houston with the NBC affiliate as a sports anchor and reporter covering everything from the World Series and the Astros Scandal to traveling with the Texans.

Vanessa has covered six Indianapolis 500s and countless NBA, NFL, and MLB games as well as the NFL Combine and Kentucky Derby.

She has been a guest analyst and co-host on several radio programs, such as the Dan Dakich show and The Ride with JMV.

Vanessa loves Mexican food, sports (obviously) and hanging out with friends. To email her, head to the contact page!
